1985年，我在苏州市十中初中部就读，学校对面就是爸爸所在的工厂，每天可以拿铝饭盒去蒸饭，中午在厂食堂就餐。当时的我还不会骑车，每天穿过观前街走临顿路转凤凰街，经过第一人民医院，走路半小时上学。
最大爱好是每天可以逛新华书店，当时是分成两个店，南面的是小人书，现在位置是卖成年人读物的。我两个都要逛的。
偶尔爸爸会找到观前街来迎候我放学。当年一起放学同学有四，喜欢在临顿路和干将路街角买三角包等充饥，后我长期口腔溃疡可能跟这个有关。
听到这首歌的时候，似乎已经是几年之后了。当时是天籁之音，只是英文了了，又无网络，除了知道“天下一家”，没什么别的感受。其中几个黑人，后来的音乐伴随高中至大学，余音绕梁。
